Margo Nathanson is a figurative painter based in Oakland, California. She earned her BFA from the Corcoran School of Art + Design and also works as a practicing interior designer.

Her work in both painting and design is driven by an exploration of emotion, structure, form, and color—each discipline informing the other. She embraces the imperfect beauty of the human figure, celebrating the ways our bodies uniquely take shape. Curves, angles, and lines are intuitively abstracted to highlight subtle nuances and underscore the idea that perfection is an illusion. Her figures capture moments of joy, expression, and freedom, and echo themes of sisterhood, nurturing, and love.
